NUS Sports Spectra 2009

SIMICC is delightfully proud to announce that for the first time in its history, the guys' team has emerged 2nd runners-up for Soccer at the Sports Spectra held on Monday 27 January 2009 organized by the NUS Tamil Language Society! The girls team has once again done us proud by clinching the 2nd runners-up for Captain's Ball!

We also extend our heartiest congratulations to Ram Shanker from UOL for doing SIM proud by clinching the top-scorer award at the annual sports event this year. Well done, guys & girls! You've made SIM proud with your achievements!

The day ended off with the winning teams having dinner together at Sakunthala's.

Bollywood Night 2009

SIMICC 5th Executive Committee hosted its last event - Bollywood Night, before hand-over to the upcoming 6th Executive Committee, held on Saturday 17 January 2009 from 5pm to 10:30pm at Ulu Pandan campus.

- Organized by Sarjune Ibrahim (Alumni).

- Co-organized by Sathiya Moorthy (Vice-President).

- Assisted by Hema & Ponvili (Welfare Manager).

- Hosted by Uma Mageswari (President).

The event saw the gathering about 40 people who turned up for some bonding, refreshments, interactive games, a dance performance by our alumni & professional dancer Jey Chandran, song performances by Theeben, Logesh, Gazali, Sarjune, Sinthiya & Darsha, and not forgetting the dancefloor which kicked off at 9pm. A cake-cutting was done for the January babies, namely Darsha, Sindhu, Sinthiya & Satheeish.

The 5th Executive Committee wishes to thank Kavindran for being our photographer for the event and to all those who came down & made the event a successful & memorable one. :)

Bollywood Night

SIMICC is delighted to announce that Bollywood Night has been confirmed and will be scheduled as follows.

Date: Saturday 17 January 2009
Time: 5pm - 9pm
Dress code: Any form of Indian clothing, preferably Bollywood fashion!

Venue: Multi Purpose Hall @ Ulu Pandan Campus
