Involved in this Dance production are members and friends of SIM : Mathiarasi, Shanjini and Sara Shamini.
A short summary on the dance production:
Each dance piece in Indian classical dance is considered as a step in the dancer's lifelong journey to realise himself or herself. The central theme of Maarga is the awareness of the body and its usage as an instrument of expression. The mental journey of the artiste is set in a temple where the silent sculptures spring to life and the progression from the conventional to the unorthodox is visualised.
The girls are staging the Dance Maargam as part of their class exam project for their final year. It would be great if we could provide moral support by attending the production. For those who are interested, the meeting point will be at City Hall control station. Please do contact Niran @ 98520208 on any queries on directions to the venue.
