Chalet @ Bottle Tree Park

After what seemed like a long-awaited gathering, we finally had our delayed chalet (supposed to be held towards the end of last year) on Monday 11th February 2008 - a 2D1N stay @ Bottle Tree Park, located at Khatib. The turnout was excellent, as almost everybody turned up except for a few, who couldn't help it due to various commitments. Many thanks to Kishure who helped to book the venue, on behalf of SIMICC.

The early birds started arriving from school in the late afternoon, while the rest turned up around evening time. The day was spent playing frisbee, captain's ball and a lil of street-soccer among the guys, while the seniors prepared the food and stuff for the barbeque. By dawn, the pit was ready for BBQ. Once again, many thanks to Navin, Satheeish, Shanjini & Uma Mageswari who helped in BBQing all the scrumptious bites we had.

2 representatives from Sarvesh Mitraz (invited by Rooban) came down to present and promote their membership card to us, of which some of us signed up for it on the spot. This collaboration between SIMICC & Sarvesh Mitraz meant that we were entitled to a discount for the sign-up of the card and that they would assist us in promotional publicity should it be required in future. We thank them for coming down and appreciate the fact that they are doing their bit for the Indian community in Singapore. For more information on their newly-launched membership card which garners numerous attractive benefits, please do access and sign-up for it at their official website at: http://www.sarvesh.com.sg

After dinner, the night of fun kicked off with various games like bluff, wacko, charades, captain's ball, Taboo, etc. Inevitably, some of us got sabo-ed by the rest by being thrown into a nearby puddle. Given how much fun we were having, most of us hit the sack around 6am, while some still stayed up to catch a movie, courtesy of Rafi's mp3/mp4 player. We checked out at noon the next day, & ended off this memorable gathering with lunch at McDonald's.

Until the next one, here's wishing everybody the very best & take care. You guys rock!

Regards, :)
