NUS TLS SPORTS SPECTRA 2008
National University of Singapore Tamil Language Society (NUS TLS) is pleased to inform you that it is organizing its annual Sports Spectra 2008. This sporting competition is organized for Indian youths from various Junior Colleges and Tertiary Institutions. This event aims to interact and foster bonds with our Indian youth community. It also aims to allow them to engage in a healthy sporting event, taking a break from their hectic school life.
Sports Spectra 2008 will be held on Thursday 7 February 2008 at NUS Sports and Recreation Centre (SRC). Last year, we saw a total of 210 young male and about 110 female taking part in Soccer and Captain's Ball respectively. This year, we are looking at an estimated target of 240 young male and 140 female which would translate to 24 soccer teams and 20 Captain's Ball teams.
Sports Spectra 2008 would feature two tournaments, namely 7-a-Side Soccer for men and 5-a-Side Captain's Ball for women. Talent scouts from the Football Association of Singapore would be present at the soccer tournament to spot talented youngsters. We hope to encourage Indian students and help them to showcase their talent.
This event will not be possible without your institutions' support. Therefore, we kindly request your support and participation. Details of the event are provided in the Appendix which is attached to this e-mail.
Please send the registration form and the photocopy of Matriculation Card/Student Card/Concession Card AND I/Cs of ALL players in the team together via e-mail to sportspectra@gmail.com.
Alternatively, you can send the necessary documents to: Tamil Language Society c/o NUSSU Secretariat, Yusof Ishak House, 31 Lower Kent Ridge Road Singapore 119078. The dateline to send in the registration forms will be 23 January 2008.
