Music Is His Life

One of our members, Rafi, has a music website to showcase his composing talents. Rafi's passion for music started at the tender age of 4. He started off by playing the piano. At the age of 22, he started creating his own compositions. To date, he has 2 music pieces and 2 remixes to his name. He has uploaded his compositions and remixes in imeem music website to showcase & share his composing talent. SIM ICC wishes Rafi all the best and hopes he becomes a great music composer. Freshmen Orientation cum September Birthday Celebration

5 new members attended the Freshmen Orientation held on wednesday as pre-fixed. It served as a good platform for them to interact and get to know the other members and seniors who turned up for the meeting as well through a few ice-breaking games organized. Prizes were courteously sponsored and given out by Samy. Vice-president Navin gave an informal welcome speech cum introduction about the club and its various achievements and participation throughout the years. A mini cake-cutting celebration was held for members born in the month of September - consisting of Indhu, Shanjini, Sanjay & Varman. Vasantham Star - Round 6

The SIM gang went down to Mediacorp today evening from school to once again show their support for Vignesh in today's non-live recording which commenced at around 7pm. More members managed to turn up this time round, considering that only a few turned up for yesterday's LIVE recording. We're confident that Vignesh will qualify to perform at the grand finals, so keep your votes coming in for him! Voting commences from sunday to wednesday.

SIM ICC Freshmen Orientation

Dear members,

As you all would've known, we had our SIM Student Week held recently at our campus. We recruited a substantial amount of freshmen into our club and would like to welcome them formally into our club as members of ICC. As such, we will be holding a formal orientation in school to invite them formally into our club where it will be a good opportunity for us to get to know the freshmen better. Details are as follows:

Pool @ The Students' Lounge

A game of pool this afternoon at the Students' Lounge, while killing time before their next lecture - Uma, Usha, Gayathari, Mathi, Darsha, Satheeish & Sanjay.

Team SUCCESS

Three entreprising individuals from our club took part in a competition organised by the SINGAPORE INDIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY. The competition was titled SICCI YOUTH ENTERPRISE AWARD 2007. The team members comprising of Satheeish, Rooban & Rafi had to come up with a business proposal for which they spent months researching on. Their proposal impressed the first panel of judges and they have qualified for the final round. The finals will be held on Saturday 29 September at the SICCI conference room whereby they will be interviewed by SICCI Chairman, Mr M Rajaram.

We wish the guys the very best in emerging victorious!

Vasantham Star - Round 4

Our Vignesh once again stunned the crowd with his awesome performance earlier this evening on the 4th LIVE show of Vasantham Star 2007, emerging the top in the SMS ranking. The SIM ICC gang (Ponraj, Kishure, Farah, Deepa, Sanjay & Varman) who had gone down to render their support, later had dinner at Adam Road Food Centre after the show, where Vignesh's mum was so generous to offer us $50 for the expenditure of our dinner in appreciation of our continued support for Vignesh. Vignesh & his family were having dinner there too.
